PIB Minas Gerais – Dutch Technical Team for Dam Safety

The Kingdom of The Netherlands, through the NBSO, is deeply engaged in a public-private partnership in the field of sustainable solutions for mining and dam safety, called Partners in International Business (PIB). The NBSO and the cluster 'Dutch Technical Team for Dam Safety - DTTD' are working closely together to develop the best solutions towards responsible mining in Brazil, in cooperation with Brazilian mining companies and Governmental institutions.

In addition to the commercial and institutional bias, it is important to mention that there is a Knowledge to Knowledge (K2K) component in this partnership, in which the Federal University of Ouro Preto (UFOP), well known for its expertise in the field of mining studies, is fully engaged in delivering academic contribution through case studies developed in partnership with the companies that are part of the DTTD.
