Economic cooperation - Hungary
The economic ties between the Netherlands and Hungary are booming; exports and investments are growing. The Netherlands is in the top 10 investors in Hungary, with more than 500 Dutch companies operating in the country, employing over 20.000 staff.
Furthermore, our countries are facing similar socio-economic challenges: growing cities, pollution, CO2 emissions and climate change. In these areas the Netherlands closely cooperates with Hungarian stakeholders. This creates the opportunity to learn from each other’s solutions by exchanging best practices.
The Netherlands Embassy’s Economic Section in Hungary is facilitating trade relations between the two countries by informing and advising Dutch companies on doing business in Hungary and connecting them to potential Hungarian business partners. Our team is in regular contact with Dutch companies in Hungary and organizes different thematic events in cooperation with them. We have a bimonthly economic newsletter (hyperlink) to inform our subscribers on our activities.
