International legal order

The Permanent Representation works to promote the interests of the Kingdom of the Netherlands at the International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague. The ICC plays a central role in the fight against impunity in cases of violations of international law and human rights. Promoting the international legal order is a cornerstone of Dutch foreign policy and a constitutional obligation of the government. In addition, the Netherlands enjoys a special position as host country to the ICC.

The Permanent Representation is located at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in The Hague.
