The Erasmus Huis Auditorium is a flexible space for captivating performances, diverse events and inspiring collaborations featuring the best of Dutch and Indonesian talents.
Erasmus Huis' auditorium is renowned for hosting a wide variety of events, making it a lively venue for cultural performances and stimulating discussions. As one of Jakarta's largest cultural centers, the auditorium can seat 320 people or 500 standing, making it a dynamic venue where the audience can feel gezellig.
The auditorium has hosted a wide range of performances featuring the best Dutch and Indonesian talent. From the lively Erasmus Huis Club Night, which featured promising DJs from both countries, to a variety of music performances ranging from contemporary jazz by the Netherlands' National Youth Jazz Orchestra (NJJO) and the collaboration of the Jasper Blom Quartet and Kelapa Muda to classic virtuosos such as Yang Yang Cai, Duo Saraswati, and the Cello Biennale Amsterdam. In addition, the auditorium hosts contemporary music concerts featuring award-winning Altin Gün, the popular rock band DeWolff, the soothing voices of Annabel Laura and Sanne Rambags, Robin Block's poetic folk, and Ciao Lucifer's fun lo-fi music.
The auditorium is used not only as a performance space, but also as an assembly hall for seminars, discussions, and symposiums. The venue has evolved into a collaborative hub for Dutch and Indonesian artists and thinkers, encouraging cross-cultural exchange of ideas and creativity. Currently the auditorium is reserved only for events and activities organized by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and Erasmus Huis, to promote collaboration between Indonesia and the Netherlands.
