Circular Economy & Waste Management - Indonesia
The transition to a circular economy is key to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and meeting the objectives of the Paris Agreement on climate change. To achieve such a transition in today's interconnected world and with its global supply chains, international collaboration across the board is essential. The Netherland and Indonesia exchange knowledge between governments, businesses and other institutions in policy-making and in business partnerships.
Advancing Waste Collection and Sorting Facilities in Ambon
In 2022, a group of Dutch and Indonesian organisations joined forces to launch the 'Plastic in Circle' programme. At the end of the project period, our Economic Department team had the opportunity to visit Ambon and witness the project's impact on the local community. Read more here.
