Meet our librarian

Ms. Fadila Muhamad has been a part of the embassy team for 16 years. During these years she has filled various positions in different departments. In her previous position she already joined the Cultural and Communication Department of the embassy.

During her university years – where she studied Dutch language, she has been a regular visitor of the Erasmus Huis library which felt and still feels like home, so when the previous librarian retired she was happy to fulfill this responsibility. “This library brings people from different backgrounds together. People come here to find specific books, to do research, meet up with friends or just out of curiosity”. If visitors have any questions about the library, books to read or any other requests please feel free to contact her or reach out to our social media channels.

The library of Erasmus Huis is a modern and open space in the middle of Jakarta’s lively atmosphere. The library welcomes you to read, borrow books, connect with fellow visitors, or even just admire the beauty of its interior.

The collection of the Erasmus Huis library comprises an extensive array of around 9000 titles. With an emphasis on Dutch literature, the library collection also includes a selection of children’s books, English and Indonesian translations of Dutch novels, and other publications related to the relations between the Netherlands and Indonesia.
