The Week of Indonesia-Netherlands Education and Research (WINNER) conference is a collaborative initiative by the Dutch Embassy, Nuffic Southeast Asia, the Indonesian Academy of Young Scientists (ALMI), the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (KEMENDIKBUDRISTEK), the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN), the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences (KNAW), and the Dutch Research Council (NWO).

This dynamic platform unites researchers, educators, and stakeholders to showcase their work, share best practices, and create collaborative opportunities.

The fifth edition of WINNER, scheduled for September 24-26, 2024, carries the theme 'Nurturing Mutually Beneficial Cooperation in Higher Education and Research'. This year’s conference introduces an innovative hybrid format, combining physical gatherings in the Netherlands with virtual sessions. The Dutch Ministry of Education, Science, and Culture will host the opening ceremony, while the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia will lead the closing ceremony.

Day two of the conference will delve into six key streams, each highlighting a crucial aspect of sustainable development between Indonesia and the Netherlands. These thematic streams—energy, health, agriculture and food, water, law and legal, and culture and history—will feature hybrid events hosted by prestigious universities across the Netherlands, fostering rich discussions and collaboration.
