Workshop: Story Time with Erasmauw and friends
By Dessy TAB
In this workshop, Dessy will share her experience in developing the character Erasmauw, the orange cat who first appeared in her video series “What is Art?”, commissioned by the Erasmus Huis. It will be followed by a short course on how to make your own animation. This includes making a story, develop a character, make a storyboard and animating the characters in the story. The workshop is open for children aged 10 to 15.
Dessy Tri Anandani Bambang (Dessy TAB) is a multi-talented artist with experience as an animation director, art director, animator, designer and illustrator. She currently teaches 2D Animation at Bina Nusantara University (Binus) in Bandung. In 2020, she won an Erasmus Huis open call to develop a video series “What is Art?”. For this, she developed Erasmauw, a captivating orange cat that explores various art forms. Dessy is also a crafter and she crocheted stuffed animals of Erasmauw and friends: a squirrel and two birds.
