About Henk Kraaijeveld
Award-winning jazz vocalist and songwriter Henk Kraaijeveld
inspires his audience with his warm voice and charming stage
personality. The singer brings together compelling music with strong
poetic lyrics and surprising improvisations in which storytelling has
the main feature. Kraaijeveld graduated cum laude from Utrecht
Conservatory and studied at the Manhattan School of Music, in New
York. In 2013, he won both jury- and audience awards at the 10th
edition of the Dutch Vocal jazz competition. Earlier this year he
released his second album “Patches of the Sky”.
His ‘all-star’ band Henk Kraaijeveld Quintet features some of the most creative and energetic musicians from the Netherlands, a guarantee for exciting musical interaction, on stage as well as with the audience. For this tour, his band consists of pianist and songwriter Daan Herweg, bassist Thomas Pol, drummer Roberto Pistolesi and saxophonist Yoran Aarssen.
