About Horor Londo

Horor Londo is the latest program from Erasmus Huis featuring a selection of Dutch films in the genres of horror, thriller and mystery. A total of five feature films and a compilation of short films will be screened, with films by renowned Dutch horror film directors like Dick Maas, Lodewijk Crijns and Niels Bourgonje. At the festival, visitors can also experience the spooky ambiance in the Erasmus Huis.

Tailgate

Synopsis:
When in the car with his family, Hans, a self-confident man, gets into an altercation with another driver (Ed). A close pursuit unfolds as Ed tailgates the family car, causing Hans’ ego to regress to base levels. As Hans starts to lose control over his family, Ed pushes him more and more until nothing but the fearful, vulnerable child that he once was remains.

Synopsis:
A dark abandoned fortress, somewhere in the Netherlands. Brian, an expat from New York, is composing the ultimate love letter in an effort to win back his lost love. The obsessive Brian fights against the demons in his head, but it turns out he is not alone in the fortress. Cries for help are heard deep from the cellars. Slowly he loses his grip on reality and begins to confuse past and present, and Brian’s mission to be reunited with his great love - to be complete again – ends in disaster.

When the police discover the bodies of a slaughtered family living on a farm just outside of Amsterdam, they are clueless as to what happened. Lizzy, an attractive veterinarian working in the Amsterdam Zoo, confirms their suspicions; there must be a lion on the loose! And judging by the wounds of the mutilated victims, the lion must be big, strong and very vicious!

Synopsis:
Herman is a clinically depressed alcoholic who needs professional help. His daughter Nathalie battles with the institutions that are supposed to provide this support, but without success. Desperate, Herman convinces himself jail is the only place he will be taken care of so his daughter will be free. He kills a local criminal but when he tries to confess, the police don’t believe him. Herman searches for a second victim and after that a third. What does a man have to do to get arrested around here?
