About Keturunan
Keturunan is a multidisciplinary project that explores the perspectives of descendants of Moluccans who experienced an eventful journey to the Netherlands. For both Moluccans and Indonesians, their ancestors are of great importance, deeply influencing their current cultural and ethnic identities. In Keturunan, this history is acknowledged, taken along and serves as a bridge to the current generations. The dance performance is a contemporary work influenced by Indonesian dances. It is produced by ART& and features dancers Cheroney Pelupessy, Sascha Lekatompessy, Moya Wenno, Simon Mual, and Thersa Bergmann.
