Innovation, investment and trade department
The team represents the economic interests of the Netherlands in Israel. The different sectors within the team cooperate to offer optimal service to Dutch companies, knowledge institutions, and government institutions. This is supported by active public diplomacy.
Priorities
- Strengthening the Dutch innovation capacity through increasing cooperation between the Netherlands and Israel in the field of innovation, particularly in the top sectors High Tech Systems and Materials (HTSM, e.g. photonics, nanotechnology, cyber security, smart materials), Fin/InsurTech and Life Sciences & Health (LSH).
- Interest Israeli companies to establish themselves in the Netherlands and subsequently accompany them in the establishment process, thereby contributing to the creation of employment, the strengthening of the competitiveness of the Netherlands and the transfer of knowledge.
- Promoting Dutch business with Israel, in particular in the Dutch top sectors (e.g. Agri & Food, Energy, Mobility and LSH).
Activities
- Monitoring relevant trends and developments, indicating national macro-economic developments and national policy, political-economic analysis, and disseminating policy positions.
- Answering trade questions, providing tailor-made information about the Israeli market (market opportunities, potential business partners, tenders, policies and regulations), establishing cooperation based on real opportunities and interested parties in the Netherlands, offering assistance in case of problems with legislation and customs.
- (Co-)organizing missions and visits (B2B, K2K, G2G) and events such as webinars, seminars, matchmaking and network meetings.
- Netherlands Branding through high-profile activities.
