Trade, Investment and Agriculture - Kenya
Trade, Investment and Agriculture
The embassy advises and assists Dutch companies that are exploring economic opportunities in Kenya, and Dutch companies already present in this market. The embassy stimulates bilateral investments by fostering partnerships between Dutch and Kenyan companies in various sectors. The Embassy maintains a broad and active network with Kenyan authorities, semi-government institutions, local business communities and other stakeholders through which they can lobby as well as forge opportunities for mutual benefit.
This means that:
- We promote a favourable business climate for trade & investment in East Africa
- We support friendly licensing systems at county level
- We support transparency and accountability of government institutions
- We function as an intermediary and promotor of cooperation between the Netherlands and Kenya in the field of agri-business, food security and food quality, fishery, nature conservancy, research and education
- We promote import and export between the Netherlands and Kenya
- We inform Dutch companies of business opportunities in Kenya and connect them with Kenyan companies
