WaterWorX Regional Meeting

From June 24-26, 2024, the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands actively participated in the WaterWorX Regional Meeting held in Naivasha, Kenya. This significant event brought together representatives from 27 water utilities across 10 countries, alongside development partners and key stakeholders in the water sector. The gathering provided a critical platform to review progress, share insights, and chart the course for future collaborations aimed at enhancing water and sanitation services across the region.

Day 1: Medium-Term Review and Program Insights

The first day of the meeting was dedicated to conducting a medium-term review of the WaterWorX program's Phase II. Participants engaged in in-depth discussions to assess the program’s achievements, challenges, and lessons learned so far. The review was crucial in identifying opportunities to enhance the program's impact and ensure the sustainability of its initiatives. The participants suggested the key strategic adjustments to inform the next phase and lead to more sustained outcomes, reinforcing the program's commitment to improving water and sanitation services across the participating countries.
