Working together
BeNeLux is the abbreviation for the economic union of Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg, which has the objective of brining about total economic integration by ensuring free circulation of persons, goods, capital and services. We do this by following a coordinated policy in the economic, financial and social fields; and by pursuing a common policy with regard to foreign trade.
European Union
Next to our shared position in many EU-discussions, the Benelux-countries are taking concrete steps in the Benelux-area to further strengthen the ties between our countries and people.
The BeNeLux countries often work together in discussions, and prepare questions together as well. When standpoint is the same, the countries take turn intervening on each others behalf in the meetings and briefings.
