Luxembourg is a great player for the European Union as it hosts major insitutitions such as: European Investment Bank, the Second Seats (parliament) adn the Court of Justice of the European Union. 

As the Embassy of the Netherlands in Luxembourg, we are in contact with these insitutions in order to foster a fruitful cooperation. Additionally, many Dutch Peopl work at said insitutions who we are here to support if need be.

European Investment Bank

The European Investment Bank is the majortity shareholder of the European Investment Fund (EUIF), which provides funding to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) through venture capital and risk finance instruments. Its purpose is to help economies flourish, create jobs and promote equality. 

The Court of Justice of the European Union

The court of Justice of the European Union consists of two courst: the Court of Justice and the General Court (both created in 1988). Both these judicial bodies are based in the Kirchberg Quarte of Luxembourg City. The Court of Justice is seated in the Palais de la Cour de Justice and it was chosen as the provisional seat of the Court in July 1952 with the establishment of the European Coal and Steel community. 

The European Commission Directorates - Eurostat

This directorate general is responsible for providing the EU insitutions with statistical data. Eurostat strives to harmonize the collection and processing of statistical information throughout the European Union in order to provide meaningful statistical comparisons between member-states.
