Meet the team
Fred Duijn
Fred, our esteemed ambassador and the friendly face representing the Netherlands in the Republic of Moldova since April 2023. Fred is committed to maintaining and building the relationship between the Netherlands and Moldova. He is supporting Moldova's journey towards EU accession and actively involved in progressing judicial reform.
Maaike Keizer
Maaike Keizer arrived in Chisinau last August. She is our seasoned deputy ambassador and inspires us with her enthusiasm. Maaike mostly focuses on economic development of Moldova and bilateral trade.
Svetlana Teapchin
A dedicated person with extensive experience in the field, Svetlana takes care of the smooth running of the embassy's daily operations, related to the financial, administrative, HR and protocol aspects. More recently, she is also involved in project management.
Ecaterina Valcu
As Policy Officer, Ecaterina has a varied portfolio that includes political reporting, project management in the field of human rights, good governance, security, justice and rule of law, as well as coordination of public diplomacy and external communication of the Embassy.
Valerian Moraru
Since 2023 as the embassy became fully-fledged, the entire economic portfolio was taken over by Chisinau, with Valerian being the perfect candidate for filling the position of Senior Economic Affairs Officer.
Vadim Tabora
Vadim is our consular and administrative officer. He is the person who makes sure that all the components of the Embassy work like a Swiss watch.
Elena Christian
Elena has the role of Senior Judicial Affairs Officer her main activities pertain to the monitoring of the judicial reform process.
Joost Boogaard
Joost is our current intern who works and assists both on projects in the economic and political policy agendas.
