In 2017 the Netherlands launched the Orange Knowledge Programme (OKP). A five year programme that offered scholarships, trainings and projects to mid-career professionals and organisations in selected countries, of which Nigeria is one. The aim is to achieve sustainable and inclusive development through education and training opportunities for professionals and organisations in both public and private sectors.

Through its scholarship programme, knowledge and skills of professionals and organisations have been strengthened, driving positive change and sustainable development.

It also focuses on knowledge exchange and capacity-strengthening of TVET and HE institutions for better alignment with market demands.
