Defence

The Defence department of the Netherlands embassy in Oslo is responsible for the Dutch Defence interests in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Iceland.
The main objective of the Defence Attaché is to identify, investigate and intensify existing, military cooperation opportunities between the Netherlands and the countries described above.

Economic affairs, public diplomacy and communication

The department is responsible for the promotion of the Netherlands in Norway and Iceland. The department is active on several themes such as energy, Arctic area, sustainable transport and circular economy. One of the tasks is advising Dutch companies with doing business in Norway and Iceland. The department also follows the economic and political developments in both countries.
