In the early years of the company, Alfen mainly produced switchgear. Over the years, Alfen has grown into an important international linchpin when it comes to energy. Alfen has been listed on the stock exchange since 2018 and is growing in Europe. For example, Alfen, at the forefront of the industry, produced over 500,000 charging points since 2008 which have been installed around Europe, employs over 900 FTE as of July 2022 and has been present in fourteen countries including the UK, Germany, France, Spain, Italy and Poland since October 2020. In 2008, Alfen was one of the first to start developing charging stations for electric vehicles. Alfen now offers a complete range of smart charge points for at home, at work and in public areas. These charge points are available in a wide variety of charging capacities and smart functionalities and are produced with A-quality European components in Alfen's own production facility. All Alfen charge points have been tested and approved by leading car brands and independent organisations, they are SIM-lock free and equipped with the latest developments in smart charging, connectivity, and data security. Alfen focuses entirely on the development and production of state-of-the-art charging stations and smart software.
