Dear visitor!
Welcome to the virtual Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Moscow.
Due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the relations between Russia and the western world have taken a turn for the worse. The Netherlands strongly condemns this invasion, which is a clear violation of international treaties and agreements signed by Russia itself.
This, of course, has consequences for our bilateral relationship with Russia. The Russian government has expelled a large number of Dutch diplomats from the embassy in Moscow and the consulate-general in St. Petersburg. As a consequence, we were compelled to close down the consulate-general in St. Petersburg for the time being. And business relations with Russia have sharply declined.
The services of the embassy in Moscow have been adjusted to the new situation and the limited capacity of the Embassy. Consular services for Dutch citizens are still provided. The travel advice for Russian Federation is regularly updated to reflect the actual situation. Visa services are limited, please check for the current situation on information about visa. For trade and cultural questions, contact the Embassy.
We remain present in Moscow and will continue to provide advice and support to both Dutch and Russian citizens within the present limits. In the end, we will need channels of communication in order to stop this senseless war.
Please contact us if you have questions on our possibilities to assist you. If you are a Dutch citizen in Russia, I would highly recommend you to register at the embassy here and to follow our travel advice here and our Telegram channels: in Russian and in Dutch.
