The NFIA is responsible for the international promotion of the Netherlands as a business location for foreign companies and for actively attracting and supporting those foreign companies that contribute to the sustainable earning capacity of the Netherlands. NFIA does this in collaboration with partners in the Invest in Holland network. With our strategic marketing and acquisition activities, we focus on strengthening existing Dutch ecosystems.
Do you want to contribute to the innovative power of the Netherlands? Join us at the NFIA Istanbul team, helping the team to interest and attract companies based in Türkiye and Middle East and North Africa (MENA) in and to the Netherlands. We are looking for a self-starter, who actively seeks cooperation and shares knowledge with our colleagues at the offices and the teams across the Invest in Holland network.
Job description
Together with the team, you are constantly looking for the most interesting prospects in Türkiye and the MENA region, building relationships, with the aim of getting the Netherlands in the picture and ultimately bringing the expansion plans of companies to the Netherlands. Based on the strategic focus points that you receive from our sector teams and your director, you investigate which niches offer opportunities for potential investment projects in the Netherlands. You guide and advise these companies in their search for the most suitable location in the Netherlands.
You monitor contacts with companies that are already present in the Netherlands, in the context of our Investor Relations program, gathering investment climate signals and attracting any expansion investments, such as R&D activities, to the Netherlands.
Together with your colleagues you are building and maintain relevant networks in Türkiye and the MENA area. You are closely involved in the investment-oriented part of incoming missions from ministers and representatives of local or regional governments.
In this role you are responsible for fulfilling the daily administrative tasks, such as making appointments and keeping track of action points, financial administration, organizational support and, in collaboration with your director, planning and execution of marketing and communication activities for Türkiye and the MENA region.
Work is also done in joint effort with NFIA headquarters in The Hague, and the Invest in Holland network (regional and local governmental organizations in the Netherlands that focus on investment promotion), the Netherlands Innovation Network as well as local intermediaries/service providers.
You work together and independently. Initiative is a requirement, and you will have plenty of room to develop yourself. Your time will be divided between project management, marketing and communication and office management activities, giving you great opportunities to experience the whole spectrum of foreign direct investment.
