Sustainable Private Sector Development - Uganda
The Netherlands supports the growing interest in doing business with Uganda, as part of the transition towards a broader sustainable bilateral relationship. The Sustainable Private Sector Development Program proactively supports bilateral economic cooperation.
A focal point for doing business in Uganda
The embassy is the first point of contact for all Dutch companies and offers updated market advisory information, sector assessments, risk profiles and brokers partnerships. Businesses interested in the Ugandan market shall benefit from the following:
- A strong network of both public and private actors such as the Netherlands-Uganda Trade and Investment Platform (NUTIP). Specifically, for all parties considering doing business in Uganda (and the EA) region.
- An improving local business environment supported by several project interventions across multiple sectors like finance, agro-processing, SME development and female entrepreneurship.
- Business support facilities by Dutch agencies such as Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO); Netherlands Development Finance Company (FMO) and; Invest International among others.
- Participate in business promotion events such as exhibitions and trade missions.
Day of the Entrepreneur 2023
Every year on the 17th of November, the celebrates the Day of the Entrepreneur with a networking reception for Dutch-Ugandan entrepreneurs to appreciate their courage and perseverance to create jobs, share knowledge, and support the economy.
