Climate Neutral Real Estate - United Arab Emirates
04 Dec Climate Neutral Real Estate
The Climate Neutral Real Estate programme and the Kingdom of the Netherlands are delighted to invite you to join this seminar on achieving net zero in desert climates. The event marks the official launch of the Climate Neutral Real Estate programme in the Gulf Region.
The C NRE Gulf Region programme is a
public-private partnership between the Dutch Government and
knowledge institutes, technology companies and technology
providers. This programme aims to enable real estate to
become climate neutral in energy supply. Climate neutral
buildings require a redesign of building integrated
photovoltaics (BIPV), the cooling system, smart monitoring,
the electricity system, the water system as well as
architecture aesthetics, functionality and well-being. The
programme seeks to reduce carbon emissions in order to
mitigate the climate risk, while driving the asset value and
enabling green finance.
This seminar elaborates on leading technologies in the different disciplines, during engaging panels that look to collaboration to jointly achieve a higher climate performance. There is ample opportunity to network with link-minded professionals to create new connections and joint initiatives.
Real estate in the region has developed at a breathtaking pace, often with horizons for durability only spanning a few decades. Many buildings are up for a retrofit. The perfect opportunity presents itself to reduce the large energy and water footprint associated with these buildings. Construction materials have gone through an evolution as well.
