Scaling Up Clean Hydrogen - United Arab Emirates
05 Dec Scaling Up Clean Hydrogen
Setting up a Green Hydrogen Economy requires an innovative climate to develop, implement new technologies and ensure these can be applied at scale.
No pre-registration needed: entry on a first come first served basis! Anyone with a (daily) green zone pass can enter. Tech Stage will open 12:40. Session will start 12:50.
The
Netherlands is a breeding ground for hydrogen related
companies but they need to work with the Middle East as a
future production location for low cost Green Hydrogen in
order to pilot and scale-up the new technologies but also
enabling a more balanced energy system.
Keynote ‘Energy from Global
South’
H.E. Ahmed Aboutaleb
Mayor of Rotterdam
The transition to an energy system based on hydrogen
offers opportunities for Global South to become their own energy
producers or even an energy exporting country. The Netherlands
government supports Global South actively in developing these
opportunities.
Invest International provides financing packages in
grants and loans for public infrastructure and renewable energy
solutions. This to develop the local (hydrogen) economy in
Global South as well as contributing to solving challenges
globally.
Panel ‘Scaling Up Clean
Hydrogen’
With a rich history as a natural gas producing country, the
Netherlands has a valuable ecosystem of gas producing companies,
technology providers, engineering companies and knowledge
institutes. The Netherlands government supports this ecosystem
to further connect globally through the ‘Partners for
International Business’ program. A panel of participants in this
program with Caroline Stancell (Air Products), Koos-Jan van
Brouwershaven (H2Fuel), Alexei Levene (Desolenator), Niek van
der Sluijs (Royal Haskoning DHV) will be moderated by Marcel
Kooter (Co-Founder Holland Hydrogen Hub).
