How can (community-led) design help sustain or restart healthy water cycles? How can co-creative design present solutions to pressing hydrologic challenges brought about by climate change?
In this session, organizing partners Nieuwe Instituut and Jameel Arts Centre will give the stage to three community driven practices that re-establish water cycles, based on water as a more-than-human commons.
As such, we aim to hold a radically different conversation at the stage of COP28: foregrounding locally grown case studies in which community organizers took leadership on designed (re)solutions.
The event aims to show the impact that design can make when in close collaboration with communities (and representatives), civil society, and governmental agencies.
