The Netherlands Foreign Investment Agency (NFIA) is part of the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate. The NFIA is responsible for the international promotion of the Netherlands as a business location for foreign companies and for actively attracting and supporting those foreign companies that contribute to the sustainable earning capacity of the Netherlands. Job Profile
The NFIA team in London is looking for a junior project and marcom manager to support our team in London. We are looking for an energetic, flexible colleague who is eager to learn, likes to get things done and can work independently in a structured and result-oriented way. You have knowledge of or affinity with the strength of Dutch key sectors and the opportunities those sectors bring in solving global challenges. You are motivated to find companies in the UK & Ireland that can contribute to these ecosystems in finding solutions for a sustainable future.
Together with our Global Marketing & Communications Coordinator and the Core MarCom team you are responsible for planning and execution of marcom activities for UK & Ireland. Together with the NFIA London team, you are constantly looking for the most interesting companies in UK & Ireland, building relationships, with the aim of getting the Netherlands in the picture and ultimately bringing the expansion plans of companies to the Netherlands. You are responsible for monitoring contacts with companies that are already present in the Netherlands gathering investment climate signals and attracting any expansion investments, such as R&D activities, to the Netherlands. Your time will be divided equally between marketing activities and project management, giving you great opportunities to experience the whole spectrum of foreign direct investment.
Responsibilities
- Identify and contacting companies that may be looking to set up activities in the Netherlands based on a sector/market focus
- Together with the Core MarCom Team, adapt NFIA global marketing strategies to outreach to British & Irish businesses that fit the Dutch key sector propositions best
- Execute marketing plans for the NFIA UK & Ireland market, by monitoring digital marketing campaigns, events, direct marketing outreaches and maintaining UK newsletters
- Monitor the progress of current investment projects and creating meeting preparation documents
- Contact companies already established in the Netherlands as part of our Investor Relations program
- Maintenance of the CRM and project administration
- Track news sources & data bases to build our pipeline of potential leads
- Research and monitoring of developments within selected sectors (e.g. agrifood)
- Participate in events in UK & Ireland and represent NFIA interests
- Maintain relationships with NFIA’s HQ in The Hague, with Dutch regional and local authorities responsible for investment promotion and local service providers and intermediaries in UK & Ireland and the Netherlands
Qualifications
- Diploma/Degree (higher vocational education/HBO), if in marketing, communications, economics, business administration or management is an asset
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in marketing or sales and account management
- You speak and write excellent English and Dutch and you have good (digital) social and communication skills with a business-like and professional approach.
- You have proven experience in processing, organizing and analysing data and you can quickly familiarise yourself with a CRM system and other databases for collecting and processing information
- You are proficient with Microsoft Office, to process information into presentations
- Experience with either social media campaigning or event management is a strong plus
- General knowledge of the Dutch economy and the Dutch investment climate is a strong plus
- Must already have the legal right to work in the UK

What we offer
The Embassy offers initially a 12 month contract (subject to a 1 month probation period), with the possibility for extension. Terms and conditions are as stated in LSR2020 and the Mission Version for 38 hours per week (working week is Monday to Friday) with flexibility in regards to working times and location.
The applicable salary scale is scale 7 with gross starting salary between GBP 4,053 (step 0) and GBP 4,594 (step 4) per month, depending on relevant work experience.
