NL Trade mission to FutureBuild

A delegation of Dutch companies with expertise in construction, circular materials and sustainable architecture participated in a four-day Trade mission to the UK last week.

As part of the Trade Mission, the Dutch delegation and Embassy colleagues attended FutureBuild, and showcased their latest expertise and innovations towards transforming the built environment at the Netherlands pavilion. 

At FutureBuild, the Dutch delegation met forward thinking individuals and promoted partnership opportunities with, and be inspired by, UK and global businesses and organisations across the entire built environment supply chain, driving sustainable construction. 

FutureBuild, which took place from March 4 to 6 in London, aims to make positive impact on the built environment. For the past 20 years, FutureBuild has focused on promoting sustainability, pushing the boundaries of possibilities in terms of innovation in sustainable building, fostering collaboration within the industry, and inspiring positive change in construction methods to create a more sustainable built environment.
 

Site Visits

Next to exhibiting at FutureBuild the Dutch delegation had the pleasure to be hosted by developers Arcadis, Great Portland Estates, The Crown, Places for London, EDGE, and the Crown Estate. Dutch companies met key decision makers and learned more about how sustainability, digitisation, wellbeing and societal impact are driving the future of placemaking. Dutch Ambassador Paul Huijts participated in the programme and joined the delegation at the Crown Estate, meeting participants.

The trade mission highlighted fruitful opportunities for doing business in the UK. Dutch companies stand ready to further enhance trade ties. Thank you to all the participants!
